Not The True Stories

I did not feel that the various other movies that were produced about John Delorean in the early 2010’s conveyed the true Delorean story. They did not have access to the declassified information that first became available in 2015. Unfortunately, they also had been influenced by the expertly-crafted disinformation agenda that had been promulgated for decades.

What we did not know at that time was that when Delorean Motor Company entered into a contract with the British government in 1979, all of the documents were classified. John Delorean could not talk about them since he was forced by the contract to keep them secret ,even in his trial.

What we did not know was that In 2015, the British and Irish governments were required by law to declassify most of the documents surrounding the Delorean contract with the British and Irish governments. There was no press release or media story. In fact, many are still classified until 2067.

In 2020, the Covid Pandemic occurred. This resulted in many people working remotely. It also meant that many people would be willing to do thing remotely, that normally would require in person approval. I took advantage of this situation and contacted the Irish National Archives to see what documents they had on Delorean. The woman I spoke with was really grateful that someone was interested in documents in the National Archive and because of Covid – they were FREE! I was shocked to learn that thousands of documents were available. And of course, I ordered all 3,000 of them.

A few day later, I received an email with links to all these documents. I was able to download them. What I saw was a TOTALLY different narrative than the disinformation that had been promulgated in the media.
